Though many countries have changed which side of the road they drive on over the years (did you know that in many parts of Canada, for instance, people drove on the left until the 1920s?), for this quiz, we’re asking what side of the road you’d drive on if you visited the following 10 countries today.
Take the Quiz: Which Side of the Road Do They Drive On?

It’s March, which means its time to start coming up with excuses to skip work to spend the entire day watching college basketball. Since we’re in the midst of championships week, we’re putting your conference knowledge to the test. In five minutes, name the 32 conferences in NCAA basketball.
Take the Quiz: Name the Basketball Conferences
Back in 1933, the first issue of Time Magazine featured Joseph G. Cannon, the retired Speaker of the House. You shouldn’t be expected to know this. But perhaps you’ll do better with some of these magazines. Can you figure out who was pictured on the inaugural cover?
Take the Quiz: Who Was on Issue #1?
It had been some years since Kara and I watched an Academy Awards ceremony live, but this year’s event intrigued me since we’d seen several of the films that were up for the biggest awards. It was also fun watching how the first-time nominees handled themselves, both the losers (like Christopher Plummer and Colin Firth) and the winners (including Mo’Nique and Sandra Bullock).
Sadly, a few of Hollywood’s biggest stars – including one of this year’s hosts – have never even been nominated for the gold trophy. In today’s quiz, we’ll offer you the names of two actors/actresses, and you identify that one that has NEVER been NOMINATED for an acting Oscar. Good luck!
Take the Quiz: Non-Noms.
Our Beakman’s World quiz was a hit, so we thought we’d give Beakman’s competition a shot. Thus, our Bill Nye the Science Guy quiz. How well did you know the show? Feel free to shout “Did you know that?” before each question.
Take the Quiz: Bill Nye

Can you name the nine top-selling film soundtracks in U.S. history (per the RIAA, as of Feb 2010)? We were going to ask you for the top ten, but since O Brother Where Art Thou and Grease are tied for tenth, let’s see if you can name the nine soundtracks to sell more than those two. You’ve got three minutes. Good luck!

Back in the ’90s, kids interested in science watched either Beakman’s World or Bill Nye the Science Guy. I liked Beakman’s World better (but feel free to debate in the comments), so here’s a quiz about that classic science show. Reach into our giant mailbag and see if you can answer our questions as well as Beakman answered his.

The Pop Culture Spelling Bee was one of the games we played at the inaugural Mental Floss Trivia Show. Now you can play along at home! Simply choose the proper spelling of each name. Then spend the rest of the day figuring out whether knowing the answers is a positive thing.

One of the best parts of any Academy Awards ceremony is hearing established actors and actresses referred to as “Academy Award winners” and wondering, “What the heck? When did they win an Oscar?” as you rack your brain to try to remember for what film they could possibly have won the statue. Let’s see how well you know the actual winners.
Take the Quiz: Did They Win An Oscar?

Simple concept here! We give you two people, like Wil Wheaton or Rainn Wilson, and you answer the question “Who has more X?” In each question, X stands for a different theme/subject.
