Mental Floss Editors Prepare First Book

...Birmingham-based magazine mental_floss is slated to hit bookstores at the end of this month with publication of the editors' first book, Condensed Knowledge.

mental_floss editors continue blurring the line between entertainment and education with 15 chapters carrying such titles as "Four things Einstein got wrong." Will Pearson, publisher and president of Mental Floss LLC, has called the book "a treasure trove of fun facts and useful information that will help readers learn the things they missed while sleeping through school." Each of the book's 15 authors, including a Birmingham-Southern College professor, have set their sights on such topics as economics, physics, history and biology. Pearson is making autographed* copies of Condensed Knowledge available for pre-order at www.mentalfloss.com and www.condensedknowledge.com.

The publisher is HarperCollins. Terms of the publishing agreement were not made public.
