Green Gore

Paramount Pictures has announced that Al Gore's documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, is the first carbon-neutral picture to come out of Hollywood.

So what does that mean, exactly?

According to SELF (that's the "Solar Electric Light Fund"):

Becoming "˜carbon neutral' means that you have neutralized the effect of your personal greenhouse gas emissions, so that your personal and household activities no longer contribute to the dangers of global warming.

So for Paramount, that means all the major players involved with the film (including Gore) are offsetting their personal carbon dioxide emissions generated by activities such as air travel, car services and hotels related to the film, by donating money to various green tag projects, like Wind Farm development.

NativeEnergy, one of the companies involved with the picture, even boasts a handy carbon footprint calculator, so you, too, can figure out how much you're affecting climate change.
