Overweight panda turns off his mate
According to a Reuters report, the Thai panda Chuang Chuang is too heavy to engage in amorous activity with his panda partner. In fact, authorities at the Chiang Mai Zoo claim that at 331 lbs, "Chuang Chuang is gaining weight too fast and"¦ Lin Hui is no longer comfortable with having sex with him." So, what to do? Thai authorities have put the obese animal on a strict diet, even taking bamboo shoots out of his meals. And while the weight watching seems to be meeting with some success, the extra baggage hasn't been the only problem in the panda couple's relationship. Over the years, the zoo has engaged in several campaigns to get the "˜bears' in the mood. And they've basically done everything short of lighting candles and booming Barry White into their cages: they've held a mock wedding for the pandas, separated the couple for a period to get them a little more frisky, and even contemplated getting panda porn—films of other pandas doing it—to get the couple on the love train.
