People ask other people to marry them every day. But given the possibility -- however remote -- that the person you're asking might say no, ask yourself this question when planning your proposal: How public do I want this to be? Here are a few videos of very public proposals gone wrong. Guys, feel the pain.

Even if she does say yes, you're not out of the woods yet. There's still plenty that could go wrong at the wedding and the reception. For instance, you could pick a best man who's a terrible public speaker. I mean awful:
