What Else Were You Doing on Notable Days in History?
On Fridays, I post a series of unrelated questions meant to spark conversation in the comments. Answer one, answer all, respond to someone else's reply, whatever you want. On to this week's topics of discussion...
1. My mom went back to school 25 years ago today. While it was a big moment in her life, she remembers the specific date because that was the tragic day the Challenger exploded. What milestones in your life occurred on notable days in history?
2. I think some of the best-spent advertising dollars have gone towards sponsoring youth sports teams. Twenty years later, I can rattle off the names of small businesses solely because we wore their t-shirts, from Denville Sneaker Factory to Painten Place to a law firm strangely called "Sue Me." If you played Little League or youth soccer or any other activity where teams were sponsored, do you remember who did the sponsoring?
3. We've talked before about hobbies you'd like to pick up today (mine was the harmonica; still no progress on that front), and hobbies you regret abandoning. But is there something you wish you'd picked up as a kid (that you never actually tried)? French, the guitar, handball, whatever.
4. Raise our spirits—tell us something good that's happened to you so far in 2011.
Have a great weekend!
