I was recently browsing a 2011 almanac, when I saw the section detailing the 20 most-watched (not highest-rated) individual TV programs in U.S. history. Two sitcom episodes were on the list – the finales of both M*A*S*H and Cheers - and the rest of the list was made up of Super Bowl games.
