The Lyrebird Is a Bit of a Liar Bird

Please play the following video with your eyes closed and try to imagine what kind of city scene is occurring amidst the noise:
Now, go ahead and watch the actual video, keeping in mind that it has not been overdubbed. Meet the lyrebird, who mimics the sounds of the other bird species in his area as part of an elaborate courtship with his potential mate.
Interestingly, when the birds are exposed to more urban noises, they don't just shorten their repertoire to match the reduced number of avians in their area. Instead, they just start mimicking the other sounds nearby, which might include noises from construction sites, parking lots, logging spots, etc. Whatever noises they hear, they'll try to copy—all for the sake of impressing the lovely lady lyrebird.
