Exploring Glacier Caves of Alaska
By Jill Harness
Today's not-really-all-that-helpful way to stay cool: 17 gorgeous images of glacier caves hidden near Juneau, Alaska. The photos were taken by Eric Guth, who works with an expedition cruise company that travels to some of the most chilly environments on Earth, from Antarctica to the Arctic. When he discovered these caves, he was taken aback by their beauty:
"I figured I'd explore for a bit and before I knew it I was 50 yards within a huge cave gazing at the most beautiful, otherworldly sight I had ever laid eyes on. It was like stepping into Superman's lair and every changing shade of blue lured me deeper and deeper."
