What Was Your Favorite Magazine Growing Up?
On Fridays, I post a series of unrelated questions meant to spark conversation in the comments. Answer one, answer all, respond to someone else's reply, whatever you want. On to this week's topics of discussion...
1. What was your favorite magazine as a kid? Your tastes obviously changed as you kept growing, so feel free to give a few answers for various ages.
2. The Pringles brand was purchased by Kellogg this week for $2.7 billion, which reminds me of the time the guy who invented the Pringles can had his ashes buried in one. Spreading a lost loved one’s ashes across an exotic or poignant locale is something I’ve only ever seen in movies. I assume this really happens — it's either the inspiration for all the big screen ash-spreading, or in response to it. Anyone have a (true) story about scattering a person’s ashes somewhere special?
3. Maggie Ryan Sandford is working on a story about the Edison/Tesla relationship for next week. What other historical pairings would you like to read more about?
4. What's the silliest thing that scares your pet? I've asked this one before, but perhaps you've discovered a new weird fear. I stand by my previous answer: Bailey still hates the Wiimote.
