Grilling season is no longer reserved for home owners with spacious backyards. With the UNA grill, any flat, outdoor surface can be transformed into a charcoal grill that’s perfect for cooking up summer feasts
Sherif Soubra received some design inspiration from his dad before he brought his product to Kickstarter. During a family get-together, his father decided to create a makeshift grill on a table where there was none.
The mini barbecue measures 6.2-inches-by-17-inches, weighs about eight pounds, and comes with a built-in handle for carrying it to the beach, park, or perhaps just onto the balcony of your apartment. The case that holds it together snaps off and acts as a stand for keeping the charcoal a safe distance from the ground. Once the grill heats up, it’s ready for burgers, skewers, and any other cookout favorites you have in mind.
The Kickstarter for UNA launched June 14, and the campaign already doubled its crowdfunding goal. Donors can pledge $111 to reserve a grill of their own, with deliveries set to arrive in time for the last barbecues of the season in October 2017.
