What Everyday Behaviors Will Seem Crazy in 50 Years?

Jason English

On Fridays, I ask a series of unrelated questions. Your answers help me get through the afternoon. Answer one, answer all, or ask your own question. On to this week's topics...

1. We shake our heads at previous generations. How could you smoke while pregnant or use radium toothpaste or not wear goalie masks? Chances are, we're doing similarly insane things right now. In 50 years, when people look back at the early 2000s, what ludicrous-in-retrospect behaviors will jump out at them?

2. Mangesh and I are hitting the road on Tuesday and heading to Indianapolis. We've already solicited some good ideas for stops along the way (and we'll be getting in touch with some of you tomorrow about that). And if you're in the Indianapolis area, there's talk of a pizza party Wednesday night. If you like free pizza and meeting strangers from the internet, email roadtrip@mentalfloss.com and we'll make sure you get the details.

But anyway: What are some ideas, general or specific, to make 20 hours in the car (round trip) more enjoyable?

3. What's a website you enjoy visiting that you don't think other people here know about? Enlighten us!

4. Your turn! Got a question for the group? Ask away. Have a great weekend!
