Wes Anderson Movie Reviews, in Detail

Matt Zoller Seitz is a film and TV critic. His new book, The Wes Anderson Collection, is billed as "a book-length conversation" between filmmaker Anderson and critic Seitz. The book is based in part on a five-part video essay Seitz made in 2009, in which he analyzed Anderson's directorial style and put the films in context.
Now Seitz has returned to his video essay format, creating a new seven-part series examining the Anderson films in order: Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic, The Darjeeling Limited, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Moonrise Kingdom. The first four installments have been posted, The Darjeeling Limited goes up this Wednesday, and the last two appear on Friday, October 25.

Language and spoiler note: these videos contain extensive clips from the movies. Those clips contain swearing and massive spoilers. If you don't want to spoil the film, or don't like salty language, don't watch the videos. Also, the Royal Tenenbaums video includes some brief clips featuring realistic violence from the movie.
