Gumbo in New Orleans. Fish tacos in Los Angeles. Lobster rolls in New England. If you fancy yourself a foodie, these are the culinary highpoints that mustn’t be missed.

As spotted by Lonely Planet, there’s now an interactive map to help you plan the “Ultimate U.S. Foodie Trip.” Created by Orbitz, it shows you where to get the best regional delicacies across continental America, from Rubirosa's pizzas in New York City to Loula’s huckleberry pie in Whitefish, Montana. (Expect to wait, though. These restaurants are popular for a reason!)

Orbitz used data from FourSquare to determine the 70 restaurants it ultimately included on the map. Next, it used Google Maps to select the shortest route between them. The map also includes addresses and links to each restaurant’s website, so it's perfect for itinerary planning.

To access the map and start eating your way across America, visit Orbitz’s site here. And in case you aren't satiated with these selections, check out our guide to the 10 regional foods you should try.
