New Game of Thrones Fan Theory Says Cersei Will Save Westeros From the Night King

With less than two months left until the final season of Game of Thrones premieres, fan anticipation is at an all-time high—as are the number of theories being put forth about how season 8 will tie up the series. We've covered several of the most interesting fan theories over the past several months—from the confusing to the could-actually-happen. Are you ready for another?
One of the latest fan theories to spring up revolves around Cersei Lannister, and how important she will be in saving Westeros from the Night King and his army of White Walkers. Here's the basic idea: When we last left Cersei, she had indicated to Jaime that she was pregnant. While some fans assumed it was just a ploy to keep her brother/lover in King’s Landing, others don't believe that is the case.
As The Independent reported, Redditor lounaaaaaaaa believes that Cersei is indeed expecting—and that her pregnancy could be the one thing that keeps the Night King from killing everyone.
As we saw in season 2 with the Wildlings, one way to prevent a White Walker attack is to offer up a baby as a sacrifice. If Cersei is pregnant, she might be the only person who can prevent a war with the Night King. Ever-selfish Cersei saving everyone? It seems unlikely. But it could be just the kind of unexpected twist the final season needs.
The final season of Game of Thrones premieres on April 14, 2019.
