Inside the Twinkie Factory

Here's a treat: six minutes of silent video from within the Hostess Cakes factory. We see Twinkies, CupCakes, and Fruit Pies being made on the assembly line. At times, this video is wonderfully soothing—everything is in its right place, a fully-automated snack factory at work. At others, it's creepy, like the moment just about the 5 minute mark, when Fruit Pies slowly drown in a cascade of frosting.

Anyway, pick your own music (I recommend something dramatic) and take a peek at how Hostess makes some of its most iconic snacks:

My favorite part? Around 3:45, when the looping drizzle is added to the top of the cupcakes. Yum-slash-weird. A close second is the plorping of the fruit (?) into the pies. Yum-slash-yuck.
