As Germany completed their unprecedented 7-1 humiliation of Brazil in Brazil at the World Cup semi-final, the hapless members of the Seleção probably prayed for the pitch to open up and swallow them whole. That didn't happen, of course, but they have been mercifully scrubbed from the match footage.
