How Music Boxes Work

Here's a brief explanation of the science, history, and mechanics involved in a music box. While some of this seems obvious to those of us who took apart music boxes as kids (ahem), there's a whole segment at the end of this video about a historical music box using large LP-style platters called a Polyphon.
