LEGO’s Harry Potter Advent Calendar Is Getting Ready to Ship—and It Won’t Last Long

It may seem a little premature to be thinking about Christmas when we’re not even done with August, but ‘tis the season to preorder your LEGO Harry Potter Advent calendar before it's out of stock. On September 1, LEGO will release its December countdown calendar, which is comprised of 24 doors that open to reveal a different LEGO toy for every day leading up to Christmas.
The 305-piece set includes Harry, Ron, and Hermione figurines (among others), a miniature wizard’s chessboard, and everything else you need to stage magical reenactments of your favorite Hogwarts holiday scenes. And yes, Harry and Ron are wearing Mrs. Weasley’s famous monogrammed sweaters.
When it comes to Harry Potter-themed Advent calendars, LEGO isn’t your only option. Earlier this summer, Funko released its version, which is available for preorder on Amazon and will ship on October 1.
You can combine the toys from this year's calendar with other LEGO products from the Harry Potter universe while you wait to find out which new LEGO collections from your wishlist appear under the Christmas tree come December 25.
You can add the Harry Potter calendar, which retails for $40, to your wishlist on the LEGO site now, and it will start shipping on September 1.
