Though the second season of The Mandalorian seems to still be on schedule for a fall release, Disney+ recently announced that it will fill the content gap between now and then with Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. The program is a new docuseries on the making of the live-action Star Wars TV series, meaning you won't have to wait several months to get your next Baby Yoda fix.

As we previously reported, this behind-the-scenes documentary series will give fans a closer look at the making of The Mandalorian, with showrunner Jon Favreau calling it "an opportunity for fans of the show to take a look inside and get to see a different perspective, and perhaps a greater understanding, of how The Mandalorian came together."

The trailer for the exciting docuseries just debuted, and you can watch it below.

The trailer shows Favreau and some of the series's directors and collaborators (including Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard) discussing The Mandalorian's first season and features some epic footage of them actually working on the set. The show's cast, including Pedro Pascal (the Mandalorian) and Gina Carano (Cara Dune), will also make appearances.

On May 4, a.k.a. Star Wars Day, Disney+ subscribers will have the chance to take a deeper look into a galaxy far, far away when Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian debuts. If you don't have a Disney+ subscription yet, head here to learn how you can start a free trial.
