Dolly Parton and Drag Queen Nina West Just Released a Special Clothing and Accessory Line to Benefit LGBTQ+ Youth

Dolly Parton and drag queen Nina West have teamed up for a kindness-themed collection that supports two great causes: Parton’s Imagination Library, which ships free books to underprivileged kids across the country, and the Nina West Foundation, which has raised around $2.5 million for LGBTQ+ youth organizations (mostly based in West’s native Ohio) to date.
All three items in the Dolly x Nina collection feature cartoonish illustrations of Parton and West—both sporting characteristically huge hairdos—alongside the mantra Kindness Is Queen in retro lettering. There’s a jersey T-shirt for $35, a 2-inch enamel pin for $15, and a $25 canvas tote bag you can fill with snacks and take to the park for a socially distanced Pride picnic.
It’s not the first partnership between the two queens of kindness. West, who was crowned “Miss Congeniality” in season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, video-chatted with Parton during a segment on the season 12 finale of the show, right before announcing her “Miss Congeniality” successor.
“When I approached Dolly with the idea for a collaboration between the Nina West Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, I was looking for an opportunity to continue to spread my message of kindness while building on the work I’ve done through my foundation supporting youth and families," West told Entertainment Weekly. “We both want to spread the message that ‘Kindness is Queen,’ and that being kind is something that is desperately needed in our world right now!”
The collection is available for a limited time, and you can find it here.
