Japanese Ad Agency Creates Amazingly Intricate Ice Cubes

If you find regular ice cubes pretty boring, check out these incredible frozen works of art created by advertising agency TBWA\Hakuhodo. Dubbed “3D on the Rocks,” the award winning project features amazingly intricate ice sculptures of everything from a glass slipper to Godzilla that fit in a glass.
TBWA\Hakuhudo used Autodesk123 to capture 3D images of the objects, which were then carved with the help of a CNC router—chilled to -7 degree Celsius—that chiseled away at a block of ice until the shape emerged.
The cool designs were meant to accent the Japanese whisky, Suntory (yes, the one from Lost in Translation). "A touch of chilled whiskey polishes the surface of the ice and gives a beautiful shine to the sculpture," Miwako Fujiwara of TBWA\Hakuhodo said.
