Dunkin’ Debuts Spicy Ghost Pepper Doughnut

A new item on the menu at Dunkin' is guaranteed to wake you up in the morning. The ghost pepper doughnut is packed with the flavor of one of the hottest peppers on Earth, making Dunkin' an official bucket-list destination for spice fanatics.
The new ghost pepper doughnut looks dangerously similar to other pastries in the breakfast and coffee chain's display case. It's made from a classic yeast doughnut ring and topped with pink icing and red sprinkles.
But customers who take a bite will immediately feel the heat: The doughnut combines the sweet taste of strawberry with a fiery blend of cayenne and ghost pepper. If you're brave enough to try it for yourself, we recommended having a large iced coffee on hand to cool down your taste buds.
The Spicy Ghost Pepper Doughnut is now available at participating Dunkin' stores nationwide. You have until December to try the limited-time item.
A ghost pepper is 200 times hotter than a jalapeño pepper, but it's no longer considered the hottest pepper on Earth. Smokin’ Ed Currie of the PuckerButt Pepper Company broke that record with his Carolina Reaper pepper in 2013, and then again in 2017 with his "Pepper X."
