You Can Help Fund the World's First Cat Cinema

With cat cafes popping up to great fanfare in cities around the world, it's time for a new frontier in commercial cat-access. Enter the cat cinema. The idea is simple: in addition to furry felines and a hot beverage, the proposed Great Kitten will treat patrons to a feature film. The urban retreat—to be based in London—will be "staffed" by 10 carefully adopted shelter cats and will encourage the adoption of other cats in need of forever homes.

The Great Kitten, founded by Paula Siedlecka and William Piper, is currently up for funding on Indiegogo, where there is about a month left to help them reach their £55,000 goal (that's about $83,261). And frankly, this sounds like a great idea. Ask anyone with a cat: Cuddling your favorite furball is way better suited to movie-watching than cafe-style snacking.
