Kermit the Frog has been cast as various iconic characters throughout his Muppets career, and in every role he plays, he maintains his easy-going charm. That's not the case in this hilarious crossover. As Nerdist reports, the YouTube channel Pixel Riot has cast Kermit as the titular villain from 1987's Predator.

This video, titled Jim Henson's Predator, shows Dillon (played by Carl Weathers) being hunted by a Muppet instead of the dangerous alien from the original movie. It's hard to imagine Kermit as a monster, but Pixel Riot has managed to make him look terrifying. He quickly goes from playing his banjo in the trees to shooting deadly rainbows at his prey. We'll never hear "Rainbow Connection" the same way again.

The geniuses behind this YouTube channel have a knack for editing unexpected movie mashups. In a previous video, they replaced all the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park (1993) with Pee-wee Herman. A carnivorous Pee-wee is hard to beat, but predator Kermit comes close.

While you wait for someone to mashup Muppets vs. Alien, you can watch Kermit at his most terrifying below.
