The Best-Selling Vehicle in Each State

Today's map comes from Yahoo! Autos, who worked with IHS Automotive to determine each state's most popular new vehicle of 2014. IHS tracks new vehicles registered and removed business (and government) purchases from the data, so this map is retail customers only.*
You'll find mostly Ford, Chevy, Toyota, and Dodge. But the Subaru Outback led the pack in Washington, Colorado, and Maine, while the Subaru Forrester took Connecticut.
* When we looked at the top selling cars of 2013, Oklahoma's love affair with the Nissan Altima came into question. That was likely a result of Tulsa-based Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group skewing the purchase data.
