What Playing a Vinyl Record Looks Like Under a Microscope

This is what playing a vinyl LP looks like through a homemade electron microscope. Grooves that are relatively smooth to the naked eye suddenly become uneven, zig-zagging paths.
An electron microscope can see in much more detail than a light microscope (like the one you’d use in science class).
