New Netflix TV shows for January 2022
Ozark season 4
The first seven episodes of Ozark season 4 are coming to Netflix on January 21, 2022. Fans have been waiting for the show's return for a long time, but the streaming giant is only releasing the first half of the new season in January. The second half arrives later in 2022.
Archive 81 is a supernatural thriller series from executive producer James Wan (Aquaman, The Conjuring) that's premiering on January 14. Here's the synopsis.
Archive 81 follows archivist Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie), who takes a job restoring a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994. Reconstructing the work of a documentary filmmaker named Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi), he is drawn into her investigation of a dangerous cult at the Visser apartment building. As the season unfolds across these two timelines, Dan slowly finds himself obsessed with uncovering what happened to Melody. When the two characters form a mysterious connection, Dan becomes convinced he can save her from the terrifying end she met 25 years ago.
The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window
Kristen Bell stars in the new Netflix original series that just so happens to have the longest title ever (or at least pretty close to it). The show premieres on January 28 and is a satirical take on the thriller genre.
New Netflix movies for January 2022
Munich – The Edge of War
Munich – The Edge of War premieres on January 21 and tells the story of Europe on the brink of World War II. This movie seems to have some award-season potential with a great cast that includes Jeremy Irons as British prime minister Neville Chamberlain.
Home Team looks like it might be Netflix's most popular movie once January rolls around. It tells the story of NFL coach Sean Payton after he gets suspended from the New Orleans Saints and returns to coaching youth football. Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Taylor Lautner, and Jack Sandler star in the new Netflix movie that premieres on January 28.
