From the moment Bridgerton first debuted on Christmas Day 2020, it was clear Netflix had found something special in its adaptation of Julia Quinn’s beloved book series. It smashed viewership records and became one of the buzziest shows on Netflix.
It wasn't long before the streaming platform announced plans for Bridgerton season 2. Netflix made even bigger waves when it renewed the series for an additional two seasons and handed out a series order for a spinoff project.
Needless to say, the future is looking bright for the Bridgerton family, with the show’s upcoming second season already securing its status as one of the most anticipated Netflix Originals of 2022. Fans have been anxiously waiting to see when Netflix would choose to drop the next batch of episodes.
When will Bridgerton season 2 be released?
Following rumors hinting at a spring release, Netflix has confirmed the highly anticipated new season will indeed arrive in March 2022. While it was unable to drop Bridgerton season 2 on Christmas Day 2021, the streaming powerhouse instead surprised fans by announcing the official release date via social media.
In the video, cast members, including season 2 leads Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley, shared the latest gossip from Lady Whistledown in revealing the next season will arrive on Friday, March 25, 2022.
The official release date news comes days after pop culture insider Deuxmoi hinted that Bridgerton‘s second season would be coming in March 2022. Considering executive producer Shonda Rhimes revealed in mid-December that post-production was nearly complete on the second season, it’s not surprising to hear it won’t be long now before fresh Bridgerton episodes drop.
