This Bike-Mounted Projector Could Make Cycling at Night Safer

Riding a bicycle at night can be risky business, but designer Elnur Babayev has come up with a concept that could make it a little safer: Cyclee, a projector-and-app combo that allows a bicyclist to alert other vehicles to his movements by projecting symbols onto his back.

Babayev envisions a device that will be attached to the back of a bike and is equipped with a special chipset that monitors movement and displays information, like when a bicyclist intends to turn or stop, on the rider's back.

The images, he writes on the concept page, "can be modified via mobile application and then transferred to device." The project "can be mounted to various bicycle models ... the mounting part changes depending on bicycle model."
