Watch the Hound Go Full Baywatch in a Cereal Commercial
By Dan Selcke

The Game of Thrones cast members are busy with all sorts of stuff, and we’ll get to that. But first, the internet has been talking lately about something a cast member did way back in the late ’90s, when Rory McCann (the Hound) starred in a commercial for breakfast cereal Scott’s Porage Oats.
And not just that. He was selling this cereal with his greatest power: pure beefcake. It's unclear what a naked Rory McCann emerging from an icy pool has to do with breakfast, but the commercial took it there.
McCann was a regular part of Scott’s Porage Oats advertisements from the late ‘90s through early 2000s. His gig as the Scott’s Porage Oats Man was one of the earliest roles in his acting career. McCann often appeared in the ads while wearing a kilt. Thom Evans, a former rugby player, later portrayed the buff face of the brand in 2010.
McCann has come a long way since those days; in his next project, he’ll star as the title character in an adaptation of the D.C.I. Daley detective books by Denzil Meyrick.
Actors Who Played Ramsay Bolton and Daario Naharis in New Movie and TV Projects
In other news, two Game of Thrones veterans have new projects coming up. Iwan Rheon, who played the vile Ramsay Bolton, is starring in Barbarians, a horror movie that begins when he and his wife Eva (Catalina Sandino Moreno) inexplicably wake up one day in their dream house. Later their friends come over to celebrate, but the mannerly dinner party starts to unravel, and when the doorbell rings later, all hell breaks loose.
Meanwhile, Michiel Huisman—who played Daario Naharis 2.0—is in a new thriller series called Angela Black, about a seemingly happy marriage disrupted when a P.I. tells the wife that her husband is not who she thinks he is.
Angela Black premieres on Spectrum on-demand on Monday, February 5. Barbarians will be released in cinemas and on demand in North America on April 1.
Moonfall and Gentleman Jack Season 2 Are Coming
Moving on, Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) posted a picture from behind the scenes of the second season of Gentleman Jack, the excellent HBO period drama that has new season coming later this year.
Finally, John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) has shared a bunch of new teasers for Moonfall, where he plays a conspiracy theorist who figures out the moon has been knocked out of orbit and may collide with Earth. Moonfall comes out on February 4.
