More Than 15,000 Amazon Shoppers Have Tried Tuft & Needle Mattresses—Now, You Can Save Close To $300 On Select Models

Shopping for a good mattress isn't easy. Whether you prefer a firm bed or one that's soft and plushy, the options are vast. Over the last few years, the number of brands offering mattresses-in-a-box—meaning ones that you order online versus test out in a showroom, and that'll ship directly to your door—has grown, too. In this crowded field, Tuft & Needle already stands out as a top-rated, budget-friendly pick (especially compared to pricey competitors like Casper and Purple). Now, the brand has another edge, because, for a limited time, you can save even more on select models.
On Amazon, Tuft & Needle is hosting a 20-percent-off sale on some of its most popular beds, including the Tuft & Needle Original and Tuft & Needle Mint, respectively. Both beds are also covered by a 10-year limited warranty and the brand's 100-night trial offer, so if you don't like it after the trial period, you can return it for free through the company.
Of the two, the Original is the cheapest (and most celebrated). Originally priced from $645, you can get this boxed mattress in twin through California king sizing starting at $516, so you could stand to save up to $219. More than 15,000 reviewers on Amazon have tried the Tuft & Needle Original and given it a 4.4-star rating. Once you drill down into the details, it's not hard to see why: This adaptive foam mattress features a top layer of cooling gel and heat-conducting graphite and a firm layer underneath for added support.
This nips two of the biggest pain points most shoppers have with foam beds right in the bud, namely that they cause overheating (a big issue for hot sleepers) and that they lose their firmness quicker than innerspring mattresses do. "It kinda feels like memory foam but it's way more supportive. It's not hot either. Memory foam beds used to burn me up but I'm perfectly cool in this bed," one Amazon shopper wrote.
Amazon shoppers also say that the Original provides incredible edge support and works well for stomach and back sleepers. These are qualities it shares with the Mint, but the two beds do have some key differences. For starters, the Mint is more expensive; it usually retails starting at $845 for a twin XL (twin is sold out on Amazon), but you can get it for $676 and up with this sale, saving close to $300 if you grab a king or California king model. Part of why it costs more is that it offers a greater cooling effect than the Original, as it's made with 30 percent more graphite in the top layer. It also provides two additional inches of dense foam to reduce motion transfer; comes with a lightweight knit cover; and offers antimicrobial protection via HeiQ HyProTecht, which helps reduce odors caused by bacteria.
If you're looking for that sink-in effect from a mattress, neither of these Tuft & Needle beds is likely the right choice for you. But if you want a foam mattress that's firm and supportive, and that thousands of shoppers swear by, you should definitely check out this sale on Amazon, because now you can save a ton of money on one.
