NASA Releases GIF of Pluto Through the Years

NASA has released a fantastic 17-slide GIF of pictures of Pluto throughout the years. Starting with a blurry picture from Clyde Tombaugh's discovery in 1930, the images cycle through until finally ending with a close-up image of Pluto that was released on July 15, 2015 thanks to NASA's spacecraft New Horizons. The transformation feels almost like looking at the advancement of video games, with rough pixelated edges smoothing and new details emerging. You can find the complete list of image credits here
