If you have a few thousand dollars to spend on something magnificent and weird, you may be ready for the bubble tent. It's what it sounds like: a large, transparent dome that allows you to actually see the outdoors while you're enjoying the outdoors.

The tents are available in different models for different environments (beach bubbles vs. suspended tree bubbles, for example). They are made out of UV-reflective vinyl-coated nylon that they say is waterproof and fireproof. The bubble tents inflate in five to fifteen minutes. That's right, inflate—the tents "remain inflated via continuously-running silent pumps that automatically keep up a constant internal pressure," and "with the blower running the total volume of air is replaced 6-7 times per hour."
