The Most Popular Book Set in Each State

For a good novel, setting is everything. Every state in the United States has been used as the setting for at least a few books, some more popular than others. Mic decided to investigate what popular books took place in which states. They used Goodreads scores to determine what qualified as "most popular." No series without a stand-alone book were included (no Twilight, but Wizard of Oz made the cut).
You'll notice that Stephen King's novel The Stand made an appearance on four states: Idaho, Vermont, Colorado and Arkansas. Because of the plot—a post-apocalyptic road trip through the country—the book was able to hit a lot of locations.
The Afternoon Map is a semi-regular feature in which we post maps and infographics. In the afternoon. Semi-regularly. Thanks to Mic for this one.
