A Bench That Grows From the Ceiling
File this under “things our butts want”: A bench that looks straight out of some wood sprite’s forested living room.
Designed by the Rome-based Rota-lab, the wooden chair was custom-built for a private client’s house. The ash and hickory seat extends all the way up to the ceiling, looking like it grew straight out of the skylight. Oh, and the extended tendrils of wood that creep over on stage right? They form a little fenced-in area for the family dog.
