Is it Just Me, or Does Spring Feel Shorter Each Year?

Not just you. It’s been getting shorter for thousands of years! In the Northern Hemisphere, spring gets from 30 seconds to one minute shorter every year. Some predict this will continue for about another 4,000 years, at which point spring will start getting longer again. (You can blame the Earth’s wobbly axis and elliptical orbit.) The good news? It means 30 more seconds of summer vacation.
