Love it or hate it, Google’s new logo, which was unveiled yesterday, has been a major topic of discussion over the past 24 hours or so.

In the midst of the brouhaha over the tech giant’s new, serif-less characters, it’s easy to forget that this isn’t the first time Google has switched things up. (Serifs, by the way, are the tails that hang off the ends of letters in certain typefaces. Yes, that is indeed a fact I just Googled.)

For a closer look at how Google has tweaked its logo throughout the company’s 17 years, check out the video above. Our personal favorite iteration: the OG Google logo, which included a suspiciously Yahoo!-like exclamation mark.
