In the year or so since I started this column, I’ve mentioned heaps of podcasts hosted by celebrities. Below are a few lesser-known shows that are worth hearing at least once. (Trust me, many aren’t.)

1. MICHAEL RAPAPORT // I AM RAPAPORT

You know him as: An actor and director who has appeared in at least 20 things you’ve seen, whether it’s Justified, True Romance, Beautiful Girls, or Boston Public
His podcast: Rapaport lets loose, with entertaining (and often R-rated) results. Topics range from Hollywood to sports to hip-hop, and he welcomes guests from all three fields.
Like this? Also try: Bad 4 Business and Bad 4 Sports (hosted by actor Jerry Ferrara)

2. MARK HOPPUS // HI MY NAME IS MARK

You know him as: The bassist/singer for Blink-182
His podcast: Fans of the band are the target audience for this show, in which Hoppus discusses current projects and whatever happens to be on his mind. Episodes are posted infrequently—he’s a busy dude—and sometimes they’re recorded on the road.
Like this? Also try: Full Frontal (hosted by members of All Time Low) or Turned Out a Punk (hosted by musician Damian Abraham)

3. SUSAN ORLEAN // CRYBABIES

You know her as: The journalist who penned 1998’s The Orchid Thief (and was portrayed by Meryl Streep in the movie Adaptation)
Her podcast: We all cry, but we don’t often talk about it, especially with as much joy as Orlean and co-host Sarah Thyre do here. Each ep features a special guest (like Amy Poehler or “Weird Al” Yankovic) who reveals the stuff that makes him or her get all weepy.
Like this? Also try: Magic Lessons (hosted by Eat Pray Love author Elizabeth Gilbert) or Dear Sugar (hosted by writers Cheryl Strayed and Steve Almond)

4. CHELSEA PERETTI // CALL CHELSEA PERETTI

You know her as: A standup comedian and co-star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Her podcast: There’s no bigger cliché than “comedian with a podcast,” but Peretti makes the format interactive, welcoming listeners to call her and chat.
Like this? Also try: With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus (hosted by actress Lauren Lapkus) or Denzel Washington is the Greatest Actor of All Time Period (hosted by comedian W. Kamau Bell)

5. JIM BREUER // JIM BREUER, METS AND MORE

You know him as: A comedian and actor who appeared on Saturday Night Live and in the cult comedy Half Baked
His podcast: Again, it’s refreshing to hear a comedian veer from the typical “I interview other comedians!” format. Here, Breuer focuses on his favorite team, in great detail.
Like this? Also try: Sklarbro Country (hosted by comedians and sportscasters Randy and Jason Sklar) or The Big Podcast (hosted by Shaquille O’Neal)

6. ANDRE LEON TALLEY // THE VOGUE PODCAST

You know him as: The fabulously dressed fashion expert and mentor
His podcast: Launched less than a month ago, the show has already featured intimate chats with Empire director Lee Daniels and Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Not a bad start.
Like this? Also try: MODTV (which features tons of folks from the fashion industry)

7. ZACHARY LEVI // NERD MACHINE’S PICKING FAVORITES

You know him as: The former star of Chuck
His podcast: Along with several co-hosts (including actor Tyler Labine), each week Levi discusses a favorite something, whether it’s fave heist movies, sneakers, pizza, British TV show, you name it.
Like this? Also try: Radio Free Burrito (hosted by actor and writer Wil Wheaton) or Maltin on Movies (hosted by film critic Leonard Maltin)

8. RIC FLAIR // WOOOOO! NATION

You know him as: A legendary wrestler
His podcast: There’s no question Flair can talk, but what does he say on this weekly show? Mainly, the 66-year-old former champ shares stories and speaks to big names in wrestling. (For example, days after “Rowdy” Roddy Piper died, he devoted an episode to him and spoke with several of his friends.)
Like this? Also try: Piper’s Pit (which was hosted by the late “Rowdy” Roddy Piper) or The Steve Austin Show—Unleashed! (hosted by wrestler Steve Austin)

9. SNOOP DOGG // SNOOP DOGG’S GGN PODCAST

You know him as: Do I need to explain?
His podcast: Launched earlier this year, Snoop’s podcast is funny and laid-back, but it’s also ambitious and insightful. Episodes have featured some big guests, like Pharrell, will.i.am, George Clinton, Jimmy Kimmel, and Cheech & Chong. Give the man a late-night show already.
Like this? Also try: Final Level (hosted by Ice T) or I’ll Name this Podcast Later (hosted by rapper Joe Budden)
