The FOODSCAPES project is proving that one's man trash can really be another man's treasure. The initiative utilizes food waste by turning it into disposable bowls. Created by WHOMADE.IT and Michela Milani, the series takes edible food waste and condenses those discarded scraps into bowls. Lacking any additives, preservatives, colorants, thickeners, correctors, or artificial agents, these upcycled bowls can hold dry foods. Then, when the user is finished, the bowls can be dissolved in water and used as fertilizer.

The shape of the bowls are distinctly seed shaped to symbolize the cycle of life. "From seed to fruit, from fruit to seed and from earth to earth,” the website says.
