Artist Creates Miniature Paintings on Seeds

You may know Russian artist Salavat Fidai from his intricate graphite carvings, but that's not the only small-scale artwork he does. When not carving the tips of pencils, Fidai can be found creating miniature oil paintings on the surfaces of seeds. His series, called Famous Paintings On Miniatures, features teeny-tiny renditions of classic artwork and pop culture figures. The paintings are squished onto pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and rice seeds. The elaborate designs range from Van Gogh's Starry Night to depictions of characters from Breaking Bad.
