Classic 1960s Batman Television Series Gets the LEGO Treatment

Andrew LaSane

As part of its DC Comics Super Heroes collection, LEGO has announced the upcoming release of a set nearly five decades in the making. The "Batman Classic TV Series—Batcave" set is scheduled for release on March 1 and includes 2526 pieces that fans can use to build various sections of the hero's secret hideout and mansion from the iconic '60s TV show. The set includes tons of little details and references that diehard fans of the Dark Knight will appreciate, and that younger fans can use to learn more about the beloved series.

No LEGO set would be complete without minifigures, and there are nine included with the Batcave: Batman and Robin, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, Alfred Pennyworth, Catwoman, The Joker, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The set also includes signature weapons and accessories for the heroes and villains. Builders can relive classic moments or chase down the bad guys in the Batcopter, Batmobile, or Batcycle.
