Does this video capture a cat in dog’s clothing, or a well-trained pooch with a high-pitched set of pipes? According to Time, it’s the latter. YouTube user Paula Mendes originally posted the clip of a dog imitating a feline when he's commanded to meow. It takes the canine several barks—and a few treats—to nail the impression, but when he finally lands it he’s pretty spot on.

In case you cat owners out there were wondering, yes, your feline is also able bark like a dog—a phenomenon that’s possible because felines and canines have a similar larynx, trachea, and diaphragm. According to Live Science, when an overexcited cat pushes a sudden rush of air through the air passage, it can emit a noise that roughly sounds like a woof. Who knows, maybe one day the age-old rivalry between cats and dogs will fade once they realize they can speak the other's native tongue.
