The Food Surgeon, a video series determined to turn even the most banal of culinary tasks into serious dissection endeavors, recently took on a kitchen chore familiar to even the most reluctant cooks among us: peeling garlic. Somehow, in the latex-covered hands of the food surgeon, it ends up being an incredibly long, drawn-out process. But the combination of careful scalpel precision, the glare of the lights, and the intense sound accompanying each peel gives it the feel of a medical horror movie. It's hard to look away.
