20 Mini-Donkeys Need New Homes

Love horses, but don’t have room in your backyard for one? A miniature donkey might be more your size. Triple R Horse Rescue in Cave Creek, Arizona is searching for homes for 20 miniature donkeys, according to Fox11.

The animals were shipped to Arizona from another rescue in Texas, which received more than 160 of the petite burros after what the rescue's president, Ken Bacher, called a "breeding situation." They're now looking for a permanent residence—and a loving owner—to call their own.

ABC15 reports that the miniature donkeys come "in a multiple of petite sizes and colors," and that even more of the animals might be available later this spring. If you want to adopt your own hoofed companion, adoption forms are available on Triple R Horse Rescue’s website. Owners will be chosen via a lottery system, and must pay a $400 adoption fee. For more information, call the rescue at 602-396-8726.
