The iconic Anglepoise lamp, easily recognized by its bendable arm and industrial design, was originally created for desks in the 1930s. Now, the company has designed a super-sized version to light up outdoor spaces, Design Milk reports.

In 2005, Anglepoise first developed a triple-scale recreation of their lamp for the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Center in the UK, as a tribute to the lamp the author used at his desk. The project was successful enough for them to release two commercial versions of the giant lamp: a floor lamp and a pendant. Now, Anglepoise has announced their plan to update the line for outside areas with the Original 1227 Giant Outdoor Collection.

To make sure the lamps will be able to withstand all types of weather, they've been modified with marine-grade stainless steel features, a sealed light, and a silicone rubber cable. The gigantic lamps extend to a maximum height of 8.8 feet from base to head and come in 15 different colors.

The Giant Outdoor Collection is set to debut at the Light+Building trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany next week, and will be available for purchase on Anglepoise's website June 1.
