Dissected Figures Give You a Glimpse Inside Your Favorite DC Superheroes
With Batman v Superman laying the ground work for a Justice League movie and other solo superhero films, characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman are seeing a spike in popularity outside of the world of comic book readers. According to Comic Book Resources, artist Jason Freeny (known for his cool anatomical toys and prints) recently collaborated with Mighty Jaxx and sculptor Adam Tan to bring his trademark style to a set of collectible superhero vinyl figures.
Dubbed the XXRay collection, the figures feature cutaways that show half of the internal anatomy of the characters. The limited edition heroes stand 4 inches tall and are hand-painted and assembled. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman are available now through the Kidrobot website, with The Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, and Green Lantern set to follow in the coming months.
