Essie Just Released Its 1000th Nail Polish Shade
In the 1950s, a young, manicure-obsessed Essie Weingarten lamented the lack of polish colors available at the nail salon. A few decades later, she went on to found one of the most recognizable nail polish brands in the country, named after herself. Starting in May, Essie is releasing its 1000th shade—an electric, sparkling yellow.
Called "Aim to Misbehave," the sparkly banana shade—as spotted over on HelloGiggles—is part of the company’s 35th anniversary celebrations. It’s a limited edition hue, so it probably won’t show up in the Essie vending machines, sadly, but you can get it online next month. Yellow may not be your go-to color for nail polish but hey, it’ll probably be great for lightning-bolt manicures.
