How many humans can the Earth hold? While there’s no simple answer to that question, web series Life Noggin explored some of the most important variables in a recent episode. Considering factors like food, water, climate change, and even soil quality, the video explains why the seemingly straightforward question is actually incredibly complicated.

While there are currently approximately 7 billion people living on Earth, by the end of the century, scientists estimate that number could rise to 10 billion.
