A Waterbed That’s Designed for Meditation, Not Flailing Around

There was a point in human history where nothing said “sensual luxury” quite like a waterbed. Thankfully, we’ve since moved on to less splashy mattress materials. But the waterbed might be better off not as a sleeping surface, but as a relaxation pod, according to an Italian spa company.
Zerobody, a heated water mattress by Starpool (as spotted on Gizmodo), is designed to make you feel like you’re floating weightlessly. It’s kind of like taking a float in a sensory deprivation tank, but dry. The premise is that by feeling weightless, you can forget your body and concentrate on your meditation.
Reminiscent of water massage pods in malls, you sink into the plastic mattress filled with liquid, and chill out for a while.
Prices start around $13,660 (€12,000) but who can put a price on true relaxation?
